Overview
The Problem
One of the most common pain points for both managers and employees is managing time-off. Employees want a quick, clear way to request vacation—and to see if teammates are off at the same time to avoid conflicts. HR and managers need an easy way to review, approve, and track requests without digging through emails or spreadsheets. I focused this project on solving that specific part of the HR experience.
Information Architecture
I mapped a simple, clear user flow around a key pain point: requesting vacation and getting approval. The goal was to reduce back-and-forth and give both employees and managers visibility and control.

I sketched low-fidelity wireframes to explore layout options and test early ideas
The solution
I designed a clean, intuitive interface where employees can select vacation dates from a calendar, see their remaining days off, and check if teammates are off at the same time before submitting. Notifications keep everyone informed, making the process fast, transparent, and team-friendly.
